I was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, February 18th, 1966 to Ron and Margaret Dyer. We lived in Tecumseh, Nebraska until I was 11 years old when we moved to Franklin, Nebraska where our family grew to include three sisters (Melanie, Monica and Ashley) and one brother (Trevor). At Franklin Senior High School I participated in all sports, swing choir and band. Upon graduation, I attended Peru State College, where I graduated and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education. In the fall of 1989, I received a teaching position at Nebraska Public Schools. In my 20 years with the school district, I have taught junior and senior high health and elementary and high school physical education. I am currently teaching kindergarten through 2nd grade physical education at Northside Elementary School in Nebraska City. I was married July 26th, 2008 to Brian Gross. We have two cats named Tigger and Whitey. We love gardening, fishing, hunting, walking, camping and traveling. In the last year, we have been to Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas and Boston and the East coast. We are going to Cancun, Mexico in March 2010. Brian works for the United States Department of Agriculture in Iowa as the District Conservationist for the Natural Resources Conservation Service in both Fremont and Mills Counties. It is because of his knowledge and love for nature that I have come to appreciate the outdoors.
