I have thought about how a podcast could be used in my classroom and have decided to develop a series of podcasts for substitute teachers on the procedures I use in my classroom. I think it would help get them on the right track and help them know what to do throughout the day. Being a physical education teacher, I have a very busy and active schedule. I think this would be a useful tool for any substitute teacher who is new to teaching in my area. I discussed this with Mr. Pederson, my principal, and he is very excited about me pursuing this.

Podcast Review
After checking out several podcasts on iTunes, I selected the "Ellen In A Minute" Podcast and subscribed to it. I watch Ellen's show in the Summer when I have time and really enjoy the guests she has on it. This podcast summarizes the days show. By viewing this, I can decide if the show is worth watch in its entirety on the internet. My only dislike of the podcast was the picture quality.

I like your idea on using the podcast for substitute teachers. Let me know how it goes.
ReplyDeleteWhat a neat way to use a podcast! I think it is a great idea to use a podcast for substitute teachers. The idea of being able to give the sub direction, hints, and ideas via a video adds a little more personal touch than the sub-folder. I think I will borrow your idea-Thanks.
